| Hi, my name is Chloe. I'm a purebred female chocolate Labrador retriever, with an embarrassing problem. Labs4rescue, the group that saved me, needs help raising money for my operation, because it's really expensive. I just want to get out of these diapers and be adopted by a great family.
The reason I have to wear diapers even though I am completely housetrained, is that they say I have "ectopic ureter," which means that my urine tube is not connected right, due to a birth defect, and so I dribble pee. My first family loved me, but not enough to raise money for my operation, so they gave me up. OW! I'm a good kisser, so they could have gotten a dollar for each kiss from me! I miss them and my brother, who is still living there all cozy, inside. When they found out I had this leaking problem, they tied me up outside with a collar so tight, it rubbed all the fur away from the front of my neck. My foster family took that thing off and gave me a harness, so my hair will grow back. YAY! I am a girl you know, and am very concerned with my hair. Speaking of my hair, it is VERY SOFT, and sleek. I love all people and animals, and will roll on my back in submission if a dog is too aggressive with me. I am only 8 months old, and so full of happiness that my whole back end wags with my thumping tail. I am an American-style Lab, as opposed to the English-style Lab. This means that I have a narrower, sleeker build, and face. I am also super-fast when I am playing fetch, or romping with another dog. I love to run! I don't know how soon after my operation I'll be ready for a "forever home" but I'll let you know. Please feel free to download and distribute my story. Thanks for listening to my story and for helping me get out of these diapers!. |
Chloe was officially adopted just before Christmas in December 2006 by a wonderful young couple in Connecticut. The family was fortunate enough to have a stay at home mom and a little girl, and knew the commitment that they were about to embark on. Happily, Chloe no longer needs to wear any diapers and is like any other typical young Labrador retriever. Without your contributions and financial assistance to help Chloe, this would not have been possible. Thank you from all of us here at Labs4rescue. |
