Labs4rescue at a Glance
Labs4rescue is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing a new life for rescued or displaced Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Mixes.
  • All Labs4rescue dogs undergo an initial veterinary screening, treatment as required and then they are placed in loving foster homes for nurturing and further evaluation.
  • Only Labs with socially acceptable behaviors, which can be responsibly placed, will be offered for adoption.
  • All Labs offered for adoption have been vaccinated, spayed/neutered, started on heart worm prevention and have received treatment for any prevailing medical or health conditions.
  • Labs4rescue also offers additional educational materials via brochure, educational events and articles within this web site.
  • Our goal is to promote and advance responsible pet ownership. Labs4rescue is completely staffed by volunteers who have other jobs and families. Please be patient in waiting for a response. However, should your request go unanswered for three days, please resubmit.

Please Consider Adopting a Senior Lab
If you've never had the joy of adopting a senior dog, especially a Lab, we strongly suggest you take one in, even if only for a little while. You will learn a lot about yourself and about life in general. Labs4rescue's Glenda Campbell adopted Lily, an 11 year old black Lab and the Campbell family is forever greatful to this sweet soul that graced their lives. Please read Glenda's story on adopting a senior Lab. Karen Genereux and Jason Bouris adopted Bruce #4. Please read their story about adopting Bruce.

Residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MA) are required to pay an additional $80 fee (listed as MA Isolation in the above drop-down menu), which defrays the cost of the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a veterinarian licensed in Massachusetts.

Residents of the State of New Hampshire (NH) are required to pay additional fees (approximately $75) to cover the cost of the New Hamphsire Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a veterinarian licensed in New Hamphsire. New Hampshire residents pay these additional fees directly to the isolation facility and veterinarian service providers when they pick up their dog. New Hampshire residents must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog to New Hampshire.

Remember to include a printed copy of your PayPal receipt when you submit your adoption contract.
